3.1 Eden Cars is committed to operating ethically in all locations by adhering to local regulations, fostering a culture of best practice in operational management, and ensuring consistent health and safety practices across all operations.
3.2 We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and business operations. Specifically, we commit to:
(a) Working exclusively with suppliers and business partners who uphold ethical standards consistent with our own;
(b) Promoting best practices in our procurement processes to eliminate risks of modern slavery and human trafficking;
(c) Ensuring that our services are free from the taint of modern slavery and human trafficking;
(d) Equipping our HR and Procurement teams with awareness of the Act and their role in supporting supply chain transparency.
We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include the following:
4.1 Staff Code of Conduct: Our code sets standards for behaviour, including compliance with all policy and licensing conditions, maintaining professional conduct, and ensuring the safety and comfort of customers.

As part of our efforts to monitor and reduce the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains, we have adopted the following due diligence procedures:
(a) Identifying and acting on potential risks in our business and supply chains;
(b) Monitoring potential risks in our business and supply chains;
(c) Reducing the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our business and supply chains.
Where there is evidence of non-compliance with our policies by any supplier, we will seek to terminate our relationship with that supplier immediately.
Eden Cars uses Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure its effectiveness and ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our business and supply chains. These KPIs include:
(a) Monitoring compliance with local council regulations;
(b) Reviewing reports of non-compliance or suspected breaches of this policy;
(c) Conducting regular audits of our supply chains to ensure adherence to ethical standards.
7.1 We require all suppliers to adhere to the International Labour Organisation’s standards concerning the employment of children and young people. Specifically:
(a) Children must not be recruited before completing compulsory schooling, and under no circumstances before the age of 15;
(b) Workers under 18 must not be assigned hazardous duties.
8.1 We expect all staff, suppliers, contractors, agents, and other individuals or businesses we work with to comply with this policy and our approach to modern slavery and human trafficking.
8.2 We require all relevant individuals to:
(a) Read and understand this policy;
(b) Report any behaviour potentially breaching this policy to an appropriate manager;
(c) Communicate this policy to colleagues and business partners when appropriate;
(d) Perform their roles in a way that ensures Eden Cars complies with this policy.
8.3 We require all businesses we work with to:
(a) Adopt policies and procedures that ensure compliance with this policy;
(b) Implement hiring practices that confirm all workers give their labour voluntarily and are not under any form of coercion;
(c) Develop and enforce policies regarding supplier selection and management to identify and address risks of modern slavery and human trafficking;
(d) Maintain records to support our annual supply chain transparency statement;
(e) Monitor and improve the effectiveness of their policies and procedures to continually raise standards.
9.1 Employees found breaching this policy will face disciplinary action, which may include dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.
9.2 This policy does not form part of any employee’s contract of employment and may be amended at any time.
9.3 We reserve the right to terminate relationships with suppliers and business partners found in breach of this policy.
